Richardson located in the north side of Dallas and the Collin Countries in the state of Texas. Richardson has a total area of 28.6 sq. mi with all of it being land. Richardson has 18.2 sq. miles in Dallas County and the other 9.2 sq. miles in the Collin County. Richardson is an inner suburb of Dallas and the hometown of Telecom Corridor Company.

In the year 2000, the population was around 91,803. In recent years, the population has grown to 101,400. Richardson has been voted the 15th best place to live and the 69th safest place in the United States. In the year 2009, Richardson was ranked 2nd on best place to raise kids in Texas. In the year 2004, Richardson was seen as the best workplace for commuters.

Richardson was granted authority in the year 1873 with only three businesses opened: a general store, post office, and a drugstore. In the year 1908, the electric railway was built and started running from north to Denison, which is located in the South. In the year 1914, the first school in Richardson was built named Richardson Independent School District. In 1924, Greenville Avenue was built and increased the population and property values in Richardson.

Richardson is considered to be part of the humid subtropical area. It has an elevation of 630 ft (192 m) above ground. Out of the 12 months available in a year, 9 of the months are warm. There is equal amount of rainfall every month and snowfall only last 2-3 days out of the winter.  July is the warmest month of the year with the temperature reaching up to 96 degrees Fahrenheit. January is the coldest month of the year with temperature around 36 degrees Fahrenheit. May is the month with the most rainfall with an average of 5 inches. Although Richardson doesn’t have any water surrounding, its best to be careful during spring when rainfalls are harder than usual. Hard rainfalls can lead to floods and cause water damage to properties.

Black water is very harmful and can make humans very sick. The water is very unsanitary and contains bacteria and fungi. You can find this water usually at sewage and seawater.
